The
Luke family built this traditional wood frame home in
approximately 1920. Sitting on one acre, it has magnificent,
mature hybrid Camellias and the remnants of an old observatory
on the property as well as the oldest swimming pool in
Summerville. The Thomas’s purchased the home in 1999 and the
renovations included the addition of a den and master bedroom
suite. The grounds were redesigned by local landscape
architects Robert Marvin/ Howell Beach & Associates that
included the addition of the garage, hardscape and the
repositioning of the driveway. The renovation of the guesthouse
/ pool house, designed by Stubbs, Muldrow & Herin, was completed
in 2007. The Thomas’ enjoy spending time with family and friends
around their pool, and the proximity to Azalea Park and downtown
Summerville. |
